London MCM Expo October 2011

The weekend of the 28th to the 30th of October the Excel center in London played host to the latest MCM Expo now into it's 20th show.

Spread across a number of halls the event which incorporated the Memorabilia show as well had a wealth of goodies and entertaining visuals for all ,from the latest video games ,Manga,Anime ,film collectables and a range of stars of TV and Film  from from both sides of the Atlantic on hand for Photo shoots and Autograph signings .

On top of this the FWA wrestling association where on hand giving a show of wrestling every hour on the hour in a proper ring. HOW COOOL! WAS THAT?

Loads of Stalls to peruse.

The show also played host to Cosplay competitions  over the weekend ,with many goers turning up as their favorite Anime / Film  or game character. I must say us conservative dressed people where outnumbered by far .

It's strange to turn round and find Lara Croft or a band of Ninjas coming up behind you ,but the craziest was the Gundam Robot by a  Cosplay supremo that was so big you had to run for your life.
Now That's a costume and a Half.

Fellow site members Cloudtoe and Snow Leopard  attended with me ,as we perused the video games and stalls, and Cloudtoe even posed for a few shots in disguise of course. .

Cloudtoe poses with a Stormtrooper.
The FWA put on a good show to.

All in all the event was a blast and one we will be attending in 2012 ,MCM usually put on two big shows in London and two in Birmingham each year, the next normally happens around May ,but till then wait for our  site feature on the October show in a couple of days.
The Snake.
